According to the Egyptian Red Crescent (ERC), the national coordination body for aid delivery to Gaza, the convoy carried 76,600 food parcels, 460 tonnes of flour, 800 tonnes of medicines, medical, and relief supplies, and 1,335 tonnes of fuel to keep hospitals and vital facilities operating in Gaza.

The convoy, launched under the “Zad Al-Ezza… From Egypt to Gaza” initiative, also carried vital winter supplies to alleviate harsh weather conditions and freezing temperatures in the Strip, including 18,200 clothing items, 240 blankets, 11,800 mattresses, and 3,455 tarpaulins.

The Egyptian aid convoy comes as part of Cairo’s steadfast commitment to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people amidst Israel’s deadly war and catastrophic humanitarian crisis in the Strip.

Since October 2023, Egypt has delivered more than 800,000 tonnes of humanitarian assistance, representing around 70 percent of all aid sent to the Strip, supported by the efforts of over 65,000 ERC volunteers.

Meanwhile, Israel has continued its genocidal war on Gaza, violating the ceasefire agreement brokered by Egypt, the US, Qatar, and Turkey in October 2025, killing over 72,000 Palestinians, mostly women and children, wounding more than 171,000 others, and displacing over two million Palestinians.

In February, the UN Human Rights Office released a report affirming that Israel’s increased attacks and forcible transfers of Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank raise concerns of “ethnic cleansing,” warning that some actions could amount to “genocide” if intent to destroy a group is established.

“Intensified attacks, the methodical destruction of entire neighbourhoods and the denial of humanitarian assistance appeared to aim at a permanent demographic shift in Gaza”, the office said, noting that such acts appear to aim at a permanent displacement, raise concerns over ethnic cleansing in Gaza and the West Bank.
