In a statement sent to Ahram Online, Deloitte said its teams continue to operate under established business continuity plans and flexible hybrid work practices, with staff working across offices, client sites, and remote arrangements as appropriate.

On Wednesday, citing sources, AFP reported that Deloitte, along with US banking giant Citi, consultancies, and PwC, closed their offices or told employees to leave in the UAE, mainly in Dubai's financial district, amidst ongoing Iranian strikes on US bases and US-linked targets in Arab Gulf countries in retaliation for the US‑Israeli war on Tehran.

In its statement, Deloitte stressed that the safety of its employees remains its highest priority as it closely monitors developments and acts in line with relevant local guidance.

Deloitte also expressed appreciation for what it described as decisive and steadfast leadership in the countries where it operates, noting that clear directives and protective measures implemented by authorities have enabled organizations to continue serving their people and clients with confidence and operational continuity.

The statement affirmed that, having operated continuously in the Middle East since 1926, Deloitte has navigated diverse environments over the past century and remains strongly dedicated to fostering the region’s growth and progress.

Founded in 1845 by William Welch Deloitte and headquartered in London, Deloitte is one of the world’s largest professional services firms.

Employing over 470,000 people globally, it provides leading professional services to nearly 90 percent of the Fortune Global 500 and thousands of private companies across more than 150 countries and territories.
