Egypt Defence Minister praises work of the Military Intelligence Administration; reviews developments in American/Israeli-Iranian war

Egypt’s Minister of Defence and Military Production, Lieutenant General Ashraf Salem Zaher, met with commanders, officers, non-commissioned officers, and soldiers of the Military Intelligence and Reconnaissance Administration as part of a series of scheduled meetings held by the General Command of the Armed Forces.

During the meeting, Lieutenant General Zaher, shared with the attendees, including via video conference military intelligence personnel assigned to missions abroad, an iftar meal.

In his remarks, Major General Sherif Mohamed Fikri, Head of the Military Intelligence and Reconnaissance Administration, expressed his appreciation to the Armed Forces’ General Command for its continued support, noting that this backing enhances the authority's ability to carry out its duties efficiently and professionally. 

Lieutenant General Zaher conveyed the greetings and appreciation of President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, to members of the Military Intelligence and Reconnaissance Administration.

He also praised the persistent efforts and dedicated work of the military intelligence administration and its branches in safeguarding the security and safety of the Armed Forces and confronting all risks and threats targeting the Egyptian state.

The defence minister also reviewed operations within the military intelligence administration to ensure the highest levels of readiness and combat efficiency.

During the meeting, Zaher listened to an assessment of the regional and international situation, including the latest developments, most notably the ongoing US/Israel-Iran war.

He also discussed with several commanders and officers the mechanisms for carrying out their missions.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces commended the professionalism of the administration’s personnel in carrying out their assigned duties and their continuous monitoring and rapid response to threats across all strategic directions.

He also called for intensifying efforts and making optimal use of available capabilities and resources to ensure that the Armed Forces remain at the highest levels of vigilance and preparedness.
