In a pre-dawn strike on Saturday in the southern Gaza Strip, two policemen and a civilian were killed in the city of Khan Younis, the agency reported.

Palestinian security sources provided further details of the Israeli attack to Xinhua News Agency. They said an Israeli drone fired at least one missile at a police checkpoint in the al-Amal neighborhood of Khan Younis, with the same attack also leaving several others injured.

A day earlier, on Friday evening, an Israeli strike on a group of civilians in eastern Gaza City killed three people, whose bodies were taken to the territory’s main Al-Shifa hospital, the agency reported.

In a press statement, Gaza's health ministry said that 658 Palestinians have been killed and 1,754 others wounded by Israeli fire and shelling since the ceasefire in Israel's Gaza war took effect on October 10, even as the US and Israel have been waging an ongoing war against Iran since February 28.

The statement added that the total Palestinian death toll since the outbreak of Israel's genocidal war on Gaza has risen to 72,234, with 171,852 others wounded.
