President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi emphasized in calls with the leaders of Qatar, the UAE, and Jordan the need to reinvigorate the principle of collective Arab security and Egypt's solidarity with Arab countries amid the escalation in regional tensions, the Egyptian presidency said.

According to presidential spokesman Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy, El-Sisi reiterated Egypt’s categorical rejection and condemnation of Iran's attacks targeting Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and Jordan, stressing Cairo’s full support, government and people, for the three countries in confronting the current challenges.

The Egyptian president affirmed that Egypt stands in complete solidarity with its Arab partners and is ready to provide all possible forms of support to safeguard the security and stability of Gulf states and Jordan.

El-Sisi also said Egypt is intensifying diplomatic contacts and international and regional efforts to halt the ongoing war in the region as soon as possible and prevent further escalation.

During his call with Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, El-Sisi praised Doha’s efforts to reduce tensions and preserve regional stability.

In return, Sheikh Tamim expressed appreciation for Egypt’s consistent solidarity with Qatar and other Gulf states, saying Doha continues to coordinate with Egypt and other Arab partners to avoid further escalation and work toward ending the war as soon as possible.

In a separate call with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, El-Sisi commended the UAE’s measures to contain the current escalation and safeguard regional stability.

The two leaders agreed on the need to de-escalate tensions and spare the region further instability. UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed expressed appreciation for Egypt’s firm support for the Gulf states and stressed the importance of continued coordination with Cairo and other Arab countries to end the conflict quickly.

During his call with Jordan’s King Abdullah II, El-Sisi condemned the attacks targeting the Hashemite Kingdom and reaffirmed Egypt’s full solidarity with Jordan, stressing that Cairo rejects any attempts to undermine the country’s security and stability.

The two leaders also discussed the latest regional developments, including the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories, with El-Sisi praising what he described as Jordan’s wise approach to addressing current challenges.

Moreover, the Egyptian president stressed that Egypt views Jordan’s security as integral to its own national security and that the shared destiny of Arab states requires strengthening cooperation and unity to confront regional challenges.

For his part, King Abdullah II expressed appreciation for Egypt’s consistent support of Jordan, stressing the kingdom’s commitment to maintaining close coordination with Egypt and other Arab states to prevent further escalation and resolve regional crises as quickly as possible.

El-Shennawy added that in his calls with the three Arab leaders, El-Sisi emphasized that consolidating the concept of collective Arab national security and strengthening joint Arab action remain essential to protecting Arab states from threats and preserving regional stability.

The calls come amid rising regional tensions following Iranian strikes targeting several sites in Gulf states and the interception of projectiles over Jordanian airspace, prompting a wave of diplomatic activity across the region aimed at preventing the conflict from widening.

Egypt has repeatedly warned that the expanding confrontation between Iran and its regional adversaries risks pushing the Middle East toward broader instability, urging all parties to halt military escalation and prioritize diplomatic solutions.

Cairo has intensified consultations with Arab governments and international partners in recent days to contain the crisis and prevent the war from spreading across the region, while reaffirming that the security of Gulf states and Jordan is closely linked to Egypt’s national security.

The flurry of presidential calls also coincided with a regional diplomatic tour by Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty, who visited Doha earlier on Sunday at the behest of President El-Sisi to coordinate Arab positions and express Egypt’s solidarity with Gulf states facing the current escalation.

Egypt has long emphasized the need to revive mechanisms of collective Arab security, including strengthening joint Arab cooperation and activating frameworks such as the Arab Joint Defence Treaty, as part of broader efforts to safeguard regional stability.
