The match had originally been scheduled for 30 March in Qatar but was moved because of the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
“Egypt national team coach Hossam Hassan agreed to an offer from the Royal Spanish Football Federation to play a friendly game on 31 March in Spain,” the EFA said in a statement.
Organisers of Qatar’s Football Festival cancelled the event on Sunday, citing regional tensions. The festival had been set to feature six friendly matches.
Egypt will also face Saudi Arabia in a friendly in Jeddah on Friday, 27 March.
The Pharaohs were drawn in Group G for the 2026 World Cup alongside Belgium, Iran and New Zealand.
