Registration for the face-to-face/online general Italian courses is open (session March-May 2026). The course will be carried out face-to-face at our premises in Zamalek and Downtown and online through Zoom, with native/bilingual teachers. Duration: 40 hours, from 24 March to 13 May 2026. Schedule: 3 times a week determined by the Institute in only one of the following timings: (Sunday/Tuesday/Thursday or Monday/Wednesday/Saturday, from 6pm to 7pm or from 7pm to 9pm). It is not possible to choose the teacher, the timing, or the location in advance, as the assignment is subject to the academic plan set by the institute. Therefore, it is necessary to comply with the applied rules.
The fees do not include the cost of books and educational materials used in the courses. The face-to-face/online placement test will be organized between 11 and 12 March 2026. For beginners and current students of the institute, the placement test is not mandatory.

Fri 27 and Sat 28, 9.30am- 4pm: “Trading Patterns in Middle East History, 700-1900: Impacts, Ruptures and Continuities” annual history seminar 2026 will explore ruptures and continuities in trade and its patterns at important junctures and turning points in the region’s history with the aim of reaching better understandings of the different role that trade played in its economies and how this interacted and intersected with different institutions in state and society at various historical periods. The Middle East, and Egypt with its central strategic position within it, has long served as a pivotal hub for regional and global trade, even while agriculture remained a primary resource.
