In a statement, the foreign ministry denounced missile and drone attacks on Saudi cities, including Riyadh, and expressed support for the kingdom in confronting "unjustified aggression" that threatens regional security.

Cairo also condemned continued attacks on the UAE, reiterating its full support for Emirati authorities in maintaining security and stability.

The statement reiterated Egypt's rejection of any attempts to target oil and gas facilities in Gulf countries, including Qatar’s North Field, and voiced support for Doha in addressing such attacks.

Cairo further condemned strikes on civilian infrastructure and energy sites, including those targeting the South Pars gas field in Iran, calling them a violation of international law and the principles of the United Nations (UN) Charter, which prohibit attacks on civilian and economic assets.

It warned that targeting energy infrastructure marks a dangerous escalation with potential repercussions for global energy markets, the wider economy, and regional stability, as well as environmental risks and possible harm to civilians.

Egypt called on all parties to exercise restraint and prioritize dialogue to contain the escalation and restore stability at the regional and international levels.
