On Monday, the EFA said it had accepted an offer from its Spanish counterpart to play a friendly in Spain at the end of March.
The match had initially been scheduled for 30 March in Doha as part of Qatar’s Football Festival, before the Gulf country cancelled the event on Sunday due to regional tensions.
Another friendly has been rescheduled and relocated, with Egypt set to face Saudi Arabia on 27 March in Jeddah instead of 26 March in Doha.
The Pharaohs are due to begin a training camp in Cairo on 23 March as they prepare for this summer’s World Cup.
Egypt have been drawn in Group G for the 2026 World Cup alongside Belgium, Iran and New Zealand.
