Spokesman for General Staff of the Armed Forces, Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi, said Iran is monitoring "enemy officials, commanders, pilots, and soldiers" on a global scale.

Shekarchi added that "based on information available to Iran, recreational areas, tourist destinations, and leisure centers around the world would no longer be safe for them."

He said, "officials and authorities of the Islamic Republic of Iran live among the people, unlike those of the terrorist Zionist regime and the United States, who hide in shelters and underground facilities."

Shekarchi added that "the assassination of Iranian officials and several armed forces commanders was not a sign of enemy strength but rather reflected helplessness, desperation, and malice."

The Iranian official's threat to American and Israeli officials and military personnel comes after a week in which Israel assassinated four top Iranian officials in airstrikes on the country, including the head of the National Security Council, the intelligence chief, the head of the Basij, and the spokesperson for the Revolutionary Guard.

Israel had assassinated the Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei in an airstrike on Tehran on the first day of the US-Israeli war on the country on 28 February.

US and Israeli airstrikes on Iran have killed more than 3,000 Iranians, including hundreds of women and children, and destroyed tens of thousands of residential and commercial units.

Iranian leaders have vowed to avenge the US and Israeli assassination of top officials.
