In a statement, Cairo denounced assaults on Palestinian civilians and property in several areas, including Kafr Qaddum, south of Jenin, and Qaryut, south of Nablus, saying the incidents took place under the protection of Israeli forces.

The official Palestinian news agency, WAFA, reported attacks in at least six communities on Sunday. The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said at least three Palestinians in the village of Jalud were hospitalized with head injuries after being beaten while confronting settlers, who were also reported injured.

Cairo also expressed deep concern over the growing wave of settler violence since the onset of the current escalation, describing it as part of a systematic approach aimed at altering the status quo on the ground and imposing a fait accompli, particularly amid attempts to divert attention from ongoing violations in the West Bank.

Cairo also cited violations of international resolutions, including the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) Resolution 2334, and referred to an advisory opinion by the International Court of Justice (ICJ) on the illegality of occupation and settlement activity.

Egypt called on the international community to act to stop the violence, protect civilians, and hold those responsible accountable in a way that contributes to advancing toward a just and comprehensive settlement of the Palestinian cause.

According to Marsad Shireen, a Palestinian organization, Israeli forces and settlers have killed at least 1,138 Palestinians and wounded 10,483 others in the West Bank since the outbreak of Israel's genocidal war on Gaza in October 2023.

Within the same time period, Israeli forces and settlers also forcibly displaced tens of thousands from Jenin, Tulkarm, and Nablus, primarily.
