The international joined Nordsjælland on loan in January from UAE club Al Jazira until the end of the season, with an option to make the move permanent. He had moved to the Emirati side from Egyptian club Pyramids FC last summer.
Sunday’s match marked Adel’s second start, following last week’s game against Midtjylland, after a three-match spell on the bench.
Adel has been named among seven foreign-based players called up for Egypt’s friendlies against Saudi Arabia on March 27 in Jeddah and Spain four days later in Barcelona.
He has made 21 appearances for Egypt, scoring three goals.
