City claimed the League Cup after Nico O'Reilly scored twice in a 2-0 win against Arsenal in Sunday’s final at Wembley.

“It’s a great feeling to win my first trophy. God willing, it won’t be the last,” Marmoush said in a post-match TV interview.

The 27-year-old Egyptian international played a key role in guiding City to the title, scoring four goals against Newcastle in the semifinals, two in each leg, to secure his team’s place in the final.

“I give my all to help the team win. I’m very happy with this title, and the best is yet to come,” he added.

Commenting on City’s chances in the remaining competitions this season, the Premier League and the FA Cup, Marmoush said the team is taking it step by step. “We’ll see how the Premier League ends,” he noted.

Manchester City, who won the Premier League in the 2023/2024 season, are currently second in the prestigious tournament table with 61 points from 30 games, nine points behind leaders Arsenal, who have played one more match.

Since joining City in 2025, Marmoush quickly proved his worth as one of the key elements of the team; scoring 14 goals in 54 appearances in different competitions so far.

During the current season, he scored six goals in 29 appearances across all fronts.
