Adagio... The Last Melody play is produced by Al-Ghad Theatre Company as part of the first step of its "Theatrical Adaptation of the Novel" project, through which the company aims to present prominent literary works in contemporary theatrical formats. The play is based on a novel by the renowned writer Ibrahim Abdel- Meguid, adapted and directed by El-Saeed Mansi, and offers a theatrical treatment with a musical and humanistic character. Adagio... The Last Melody play unfolds as a dramatic composition within a love story that blends human emotions and psychological turmoil, with memories that lead the soul to unseen realms, in an attempt to explore the depths of melancholy, truth, and human loyalty. It casts Rami El-Tombari, Heba Abdel-Ghani, Basma Shawky, George Ashraf, Jana Atwa, and many more. The set design is by Ahmed El-Alfi, costume design by Nourhan Samir, lighting design by Abu Bakr El-Sherif, lyrics by Hamed El-Saharty, music and composition by Rafik Gamal, assistant director Ahmed Nabil, executive director Dalia Hafez, assistant directors Soha Kahil and Maha Mustafa (Performances run daily, 8.30pm).

Black play is performed by Al-Shams (The Sun) Theatre Company for those with special abilities starring Mahmoud Soliman, Yara El-Melegui, Norhan Saleh and Youssef Rizk, written for theatre by Israa Mahgoub and directed by Taghreed Abdel-Rahman (Performances run daily, 7pm, free entry).

 

 

Malak Opera Theatre

The play casts Mirna Walid, Mustafa Shawky, Mahmoud Amer, Hassan El-Arabi, Laila Mourad, Youssef Mourad, Hamed Said, and many more. Gathering Memories with My Eyelashes theatrical performance tells the story of an actress who gradually loses her childhood memories, prompting her mother to take her on a journey to recover them. Along the way, this journey reveals intimate truths about herself, her family, and her homeland. Through this first theatrical work as an author, Nanda Mohamed explores memory as both a theme and a lived experience, moving between her past in Syria and her life in Egypt, and questioning whether it is possible to build the future without erasing the past (28 and 29 March, 8pm).

Segn Akhtiary (Voluntary Imprisonment) play, performed by  

Taliaa Theatre Company, explores the idea of ​​the psychological prison that a person creates for themselves, examining constraints such as fear of change, clinging to the past, restrictive habits, or feelings of guilt. It poses a fundamental question: Is a person truly imprisoned, or have they created their own limitations?

The play stars Ehab Mahfouz, Youssef El-Mansoury, Amal Abdel- Moneim, Paula Maher, Nagat El-Emam, Emad Saber, Mahmoud El- Bitar, among others.
