The meeting was held to discuss the impact of the escalating US-Israeli war on Iran on global energy prices and supply chains.
The discussions focused on protecting local industry from external pressures and ensuring the availability of production inputs, according to a presidency statement. Officials reviewed measures to mitigate rising costs and stabilize supply chains.
El-Sisi called for safeguarding the economy from harmful trade practices and maintaining the continuity of production, while addressing challenges facing investors and manufacturers.
The meeting also covered efforts to support investment and foreign trade, with the government aiming to improve the business environment and attract additional capital.
Officials discussed plans to expand domestic industrial capacity, increase private sector participation, and boost both local and foreign investment, with a view to positioning Egypt as a regional industrial hub.
