Egypt team head to Spain ahead of another World Cup warm-up test

Egypt’s national football team headed to Spain from Saudi Arabia on Saturday morning ahead of facing La Roja in a friendly game on Tuesday at the RCDE Stadium, home of Espanyol.

The seven-time African champions, Egypt, began their FIFA 2026 World Cup preparations emphatically, defeating Saudi Arabia 4-0 in a friendly test at Jeddah’s Alinma Stadium on Friday.

Spain’s game is the second and last in the Pharaohs’ preparatory camp under coach Hossam Hassan this month.

Egypt have been drawn in Group G of the 2026 World Cup finals alongside Iran, New Zealand, and Belgium.

The tournament will be held in the United States and Mexico from 11 June to 19 July.
