According to the Egyptian Red Crescent (ERC), the national coordination body for aid delivery to Gaza, the convoy carried 1,700 tonnes of food parcels and flour, 625 tonnes of relief supplies and personal hygiene items, and 1,180 tonnes of fuel to keep hospitals and vital facilities operating in Gaza.
The ERC’s convoy, launched under the “Zad Al-Ezza… From Egypt to Gaza” initiative, also carried essential winter materials to alleviate the suffering of Gaza’s residents amidst severe weather conditions and heavy rainfalls in the Strip.
These materials included hundreds of clothing items, 3,460 tarpaulins, 1,340 blankets, and 1000 tents to shelter displaced families due to the ongoing Israeli airstrikes.
Additionally, the ERC’s volunteers have continued their humanitarian efforts on the Egyptian side of the Rafah border crossing in receiving the 26th batch of Palestinian wounded and patients and their companions, and facilitating their crossing procedures, as well as seeing off those returning to the Strip.

The Egyptian aid convoy comes as part of Cairo’s steadfast commitment to supporting the Palestinian people amidst the brutal Israeli war.
Since October 2023, Egypt has delivered more than 800,000 tonnes of humanitarian assistance to Gaza, representing around 70 percent of all aid sent to the Strip, supported by the efforts of over 65,000 ERC volunteers’ workforce.
Meanwhile, Israel has continued its genocidal war on Gaza, violating the ceasefire deal brokered by Egypt, the US, Qatar, and Turkey in October, killing 72,278 Palestinians and wounding 172,013 others, most of them women and children.
