The ministry added that Israeli strikes have killed 1,238 people in Lebanon since the start of Israel's latest war on Lebanon on 2 March, including 124 children, and have wounded more than 3,500.

On Saturday and Sunday alone, 49 people were killed, including 10 rescue workers and three journalists.

One paramedic and his patient were killed Sunday when an Israeli strike hit an ambulance belonging to the Islamic Health Committee, the group’s spokesperson said. The day before, Israeli strikes killed nine first aid workers in southern Lebanon, according to the ministry.

Journalists were also targeted. Ali Shoeib, a veteran correspondent for Hezbollah’s Al Manar TV, and Fatiman Ftouni of the Al Mayadeen channel, along with her brother, cameraman Mohammad Ftouni, were all killed when an Israeli airstrike struck their vehicle in Jezzine, southern Lebanon.

Israeli artillery shelling also targeted the headquarters of the Indonesian unit serving with the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) in the southern village of Adshit al-Qusayr on Sunday, according to Lebanon's National News Agency and local media reports.

Preliminary reports said there were injuries among UNIFIL personnel, while UNIFIL helicopters were seen heading to the targeted site following the shelling, the media reported.
