The Pharaohs face Spain at RCDE Stadium, home of Espanyol, as part of their preparations for the 2026 World Cup, days after a 4-0 win over Saudi Arabia.
“I respect Spain national team, and we know we are facing one of the strongest sides in the world,” Hassan told a pre-match press conference on Monday.
“We are approaching tomorrow’s friendly, looking to benefit from it and achieve a positive result,” he added.
The match against Spain, who top the latest FIFA rankings, is Egypt’s second and final fixture in the current international window. Egypt are ranked 29th.
“Egypt fear no opponents, and we always work on reducing mistakes,” he said.
Egypt will again be without Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah due to injury after missing the Saudi Arabia trip.
“We have top professionals, led by Mohamed Salah, who will miss the Spain friendly. We also have Omar Marmoush, Mohamed Abdelmonem and Mostafa Mohamed,” he added.
Egypt opened their camp with a convincing 4-0 victory over Saudi Arabia at Alinma Stadium on Friday.
“The Saudi Arabia experience was a strong test, and we succeeded in delivering a big performance and winning by four goals,” Hassan said.
The 59-year-old also praised Real Oviedo winger Haitham Hassan after his recent debut.
“Haitham Hassan has made a good start with the Egypt national team, and I expect him to have a bright future,” he said.
Egypt have been drawn in Group G for the 2026 World Cup alongside Iran, New Zealand and Belgium. The tournament will be held in the United States and Mexico from June 11 to July 19.
