The crash occurred between the Al-Ajizi checkpoint and Tahrir junction, prompting an immediate response from local officials and emergency services.
Ambulances rushed the injured to Sadat Central Hospital, while the bodies were transferred to Sadat Central and Monouf General hospitals.
Two of the injured were admitted to intensive care, while a third was placed under observation, according to the health ministry.
Authorities dispatched 10 ambulances to the scene after receiving the initial report, Health Ministry spokesperson Hossam Abdel-Ghaffar stated.
Meanwhile, Menoufia Governor Amr El-Gharib and Security Director Alaa El-Gahhar, along with senior traffic and local officials, rushed to the scene following the incident.
The governor ordered all relevant sectors to provide full support and raised the emergency preparedness level at nearby hospitals to ensure swift treatment of the injured.
He also extended condolences to the victims’ families and wished a speedy recovery for those injured.
Authorities have filed a report on the incident and launched an investigation into its circumstances.
Additionally, Health and Population Minister Khaled Abdel-Ghaffar followed up on the accident's repercussions and assigned his deputy to visit the injured and ensure they receive the highest level of medical care.
The minister also tasked his deputy, Amr Kandil, with visiting the injured, and directed rapid response teams to be deployed at the accident site to coordinate with relevant state authorities, ensure swift handling of the situation, and secure the availability of medicines, medical supplies, and blood units of all types.
