In a statement, the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) said the recent bout of unstable weather—marked by rain and strong winds across the country—has eased in recent hours.

Conditions improved after widespread disruption on Wednesday and Thursday, when heavy rain and gusty winds hit several governorates and prompted school closures as a precaution.

Rain remains possible in parts of southern Upper Egypt and the Red Sea mountain range, though it is expected to be light to moderate.

The EMA also forecasts intermittent winds from Saturday through Wednesday, affecting Greater Cairo, the northwestern coast, South Sinai, Upper Egypt, and the Red Sea governorate.

Morning fog is likely on roads in the North Coast, Lower Egypt, Greater Cairo, the Canal cities, northern Upper Egypt, and central Sinai. In some areas, it may be dense.

Temperatures will stay moderate across most regions starting Saturday. In Greater Cairo and Lower Egypt, highs will reach around 24°C, dropping to 13°C at night.

Along the North Coast, temperatures will peak at 21°C, with lows of 11°C.

Northern Upper Egypt will see highs of 26°C and lows of 10°C, while southern Upper Egypt will remain warmer, with temperatures nearing 31°C during the day and 17°C at night.

The recent spell of strong winds, dust, and scattered rain disrupted daily life and reduced visibility in several areas.

Authorities say they are monitoring conditions closely and urge the public to follow official updates and safety guidance until the weather fully stabilizes.
