Liverpool manager Arne Slot praised Mohamed Salah’s “unbelievable” impact at the club on Friday after confirming the Egyptian forward will leave at the end of the season.

Salah, Liverpool’s third-highest goalscorer with 255 goals, announced last week he would depart after nine years at Anfield, during which he helped secure major domestic and European honours.

Slot said the 31-year-old had trained fully and would be part of the squad for Saturday’s FA Cup quarter-final. “He trained with us yesterday and today, and he’s available for the game tomorrow,” the Dutch coach told reporters.

Reflecting on Salah’s contribution, Slot underlined the forward’s consistency and influence. “It’s been unbelievable what he did for this club, for so many years, every three days, scoring goals, providing assists and having such an impact,” he said.

Salah has played a central role in Liverpool’s success, winning two Premier League titles, the Champions League, FA Cup and two League Cups since joining the club in 2017.

Slot expressed hope the forward could add further silverware before his departure. “I can only hope that he can add two extra trophies towards the end of the season,” he said.

Liverpool sit fifth in the Premier League, 21 points behind leaders Arsenal, but remain in contention in cup competitions, having reached the Champions League quarter-finals.

They face Paris Saint-Germain away on Wednesday, days after their FA Cup meeting with Manchester City, as Salah looks to conclude his Liverpool career with further honours.
