The Ismailia-based club confirmed their promotion on Friday following a 2-0 away victory against Masaar in the 28th round of the Egyptian Professional League (second division).
Hazem Abu Senna opened the scoring in the 38th minute, before Mody Shalata doubled the lead in the 74th minute to spark wild celebrations among the traveling supporters.
The win moves Canal SC to 65 points at the top of the table, establishing an unbridgeable 20-point gap over fourth-placed Masaar with only six rounds remaining in the season.
Under the guidance of manager Abdel-Naser Mohamed, Canal SC have set a new milestone in Egyptian football history by becoming the fastest team to secure promotion.
By clinching their spot with six games to spare, they surpassed the previous record held by Al Nasr, who secured promotion five games early during the 2017/2018 season.
This achievement marks Canal SC’s return to the Premier League for the first time since their relegation in the 2013/2014 season.
It will be the club's 29th appearance in the top tier, a competition where they historically famously clinched the Egypt Cup in 1964.
The Egyptian Premier League is set to expand to 20 teams for the 2026/2027 campaign.
While Canal are the first to confirm their spot, Asyut Petroleum and Abu Qir Fertilizers remain the favorites to claim the remaining two automatic promotion places.
