The weather across Egypt is currently calm and stable, with the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) reporting steady conditions across the country from Monday through Saturday.

In a statement, the EMA said the general weather pattern is moderate and consistent nationwide.

Starting from Monday, there are chances of occasional light rainfall in parts of the north coasts, northern Lower Egypt, which may become moderate in Salloum and Matrouh regions.

Intermittent wind activity is also expected, which may stir sand and dust, particularly in the Red Sea governorate, south Sinai, and Upper Egypt, and may cause low visibility.

Morning fog may also appear on roads in parts of the north coasts, Lower Egypt, Greater Cairo, the Canal cities, northern Upper Egypt, and central Sinai, at times becoming dense in northwestern coasts.

From Monday through Saturday, temperatures are expected to remain moderate across most areas.

Greater Cairo and Lower Egypt will record highs of around 26°C and lows near 13°C, while the North Coast will see highs of 24°C and lows of 12°C.

Temperatures in Northern Upper Egypt are forecast to reach 28°C during the day and 10°C at night, while southern Upper Egypt will be warmer, with highs near 32°C and lows around 18°C.

The weather’s improvement comes after widespread disruption last week, when heavy rainfalls and gusty winds hit several governorates and prompted school closures as a precaution.
