The Deputy PM underscored that this meeting represents an opportunity to reaffirm the distinguished relations between Egypt and the UAE, especially in the economic field, considering Emirati investments among the most important in the Egyptian market, according to a cabinet statement.

For his part, the Emirati diplomat praised the Egyptian political leadership’s support for the UAE at this critical stage, as well as the continuous and positive communication at all levels. He also emphasized his country’s appreciation for Egypt’s pivotal role in mediation efforts to halt regional hostilities, in reference to the US-Israeli war on Iran.

He highlighted the strong and rapidly growing economic and trade relations between Cairo and Abu Dhabi, praising the Egyptian government’s commitment to visiting Emirati companies in Egypt as part of official tours, and maintaining direct and effective communication with investors to resolve any challenges and create a favorable investment climate.

Al-Zaabi further noted that significant progress has been made in the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement between Egypt and the UAE, which is expected to create a qualitative leap in joint investments.

The Emirati diplomat also affirmed his country’s interest in injecting more investments into the Egyptian market in the coming period across several priority sectors, while thanking the Egyptian government for its efforts to resolve issues and remove obstacles facing Emirati companies.

He added that since assuming his position, he has witnessed several successful partnership models involving Egypt and the UAE, including laying the foundation stone for a solar panel factory in the Egyptian coastal city of Ain Sokhna with Egyptian-Emirati–Chinese–Bahraini investments, aimed at exporting to Africa.

Al-Zaabi also recalled his attendance at the inauguration of the largest logistics site for DP World through a partnership involving Egyptian, Emirati, Chinese, and Korean stakeholders, affirming that Egypt possesses many advantages that qualify it as a successful partner across sectors of mutual interest.

The UAE is Egypt’s largest Arab investor, with cumulative Emirati investments estimated at more than $35–40 billion, driven by recent mega-deals in real estate, infrastructure, ports and logistics, energy, and strategic assets.
