According to data from the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health, the National News Agency (NNA), and international monitoring reports, the 37-day period has caused a severe humanitarian crisis.
As of April 7, 2026, confirmed figures indicate that 1,530 people have been killed and 4,812 have been injured, including hundreds of women and children.
The toll includes 102 women and 130 children, as well as 57 heath workers, a ministry statement said.
These casualties have been recorded across several regions, with the highest concentration of incidents in the southern suburbs of Beirut, the Beqaa Valley, and various districts in southern Lebanon.
The scale of the Israeli bombing of the country has led to the displacement of approximately 1.2 million people, one-fifth of the population. These individuals have largely relocated to areas considered outside the immediate zones of combat, placing significant pressure on local resources, public facilities, and temporary housing infrastructure.
Physical damage to residential and commercial infrastructure has been extensive. Tens of thousands of units have been reported as damaged or destroyed, particularly in Beirut’s southern neighborhoods such as Haret Hreik and Al-Jnah, and across agricultural centers in the Beqaa Valley, including Nabi Chit and Mashghara.
In southern Lebanon, reports from local sources indicate that the sustained bombardment has caused severe structural damage to numerous towns and villages. Areas such as Aitany, Markaba, and Qaouzah have seen significant destruction, with multiple buildings rendered uninhabitable.
In tandem, Israeli occupation forces have been flattening entire villages in South Lebanon, as part of plans to occupy the region long-term.
The healthcare sector has also faced critical blows. Five hospitals have ceased operations due to direct damage or the necessity of evacuations. Additionally, the Ministry of Health has reported that more than 40 medical personnel have been killed while performing their duties in conflict-affected areas.
Israeli occupation forces have engaged in frequent air-to-ground strikes and tactical maneuvers against Hezbollah fighters in southern Lebanon.
During this timeframe, at least 14 Israeli soldiers have been killed. These losses have been attributed to direct ground engagements with Hezbollah fighters in southern Lebanon and retaliatory rocket fire aimed at military and settlements in northern Israel, including the settlements of Kiryat Shmona and Sasa.
