Qatar condemns Israel's 'barbaric massacres' in Lebanon
Qatar on Wednesday condemned the “brutal series of Israeli airstrikes” targeting large areas across Lebanon, which have killed at least 254 people and wounded more than 1,165, according to Lebanese civil defence figures.

In a statement, the Qatari Foreign Ministry said the attacks constitute “a dangerous escalation and a flagrant violation of the sovereignty of the sister Lebanese Republic,” as well as a breach of international humanitarian law and United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701.
The ministry urged the international community to assume its responsibilities by pressuring Israeli authorities to halt what it described as “barbaric massacres” and repeated attacks on Lebanon, and to ensure accountability in line with international laws and conventions.
Doha also reaffirmed its full solidarity with Lebanon, backing measures taken by the Lebanese state to safeguard its unity, sovereignty, security and stability amid the ongoing escalation.
