Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) denied carrying out any attacks since a two-week ceasefire with the United States came into effect early Wednesday, rejecting media reports of missile and drone strikes.

“As of this hour during the ceasefire, the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran have absolutely not launched any projectiles towards any country,” the IRGC said in a statement carried by Fars news agency.

It added that any confirmed military action would be publicly acknowledged. “If the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran strike any target, they will announce it with full courage in an official statement. Any action not mentioned in the official statements of the Islamic Republic of Iran has nothing to do with us.”

On Thursday evening, Kuwait's state news agency reported that a National Guard site was targeted by drones, causing significant material damage but no injuries.

Kuwait has condemned what it described as drone attacks by Iran targeting vital facilities in the country, calling the strikes a violation of its sovereignty and airspace, the foreign ministry said in a statement.

Several Gulf countries have reported missile and drone attacks on their territories, hours after Iran and the United States announced the ceasefire.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Wednesday said its air defences “are actively engaging” incoming missiles and drones from Iran.

Later, Saudi Arabia’s Defence Ministry announced in a post on X that nine drones had been intercepted and downed “over the past hours”.

In remarks reported by Tasnim News Agency, the IRGC “firmly refuted claims of missile and drone strikes against neighbouring countries,” describing such reports as “part of an American and Zionist plot.”

The Tasnim report said that while various news agencies have disseminated information alleging Iranian drone and missile attacks on installations "in a number of countries along the southern rim of the Persian Gulf,” Iranian forces have not conducted any launches during the ceasefire period.

The agency added that if such incidents had indeed occurred, they would “undoubtedly indicate acts orchestrated by adversaries, namely the Zionist regime or the United States.”

Iran's Khatam al-Anbiya, the military operational command, stressed, however, that if Israel's attacks on Hezbollah and the Lebanese people continue, "we will respond in a painful manner."

“Our finger is on the trigger due to repeated violations of commitments by the American and Zionist enemies," the command added.

The developments coincide with an expected meeting later on Friday between a US delegation, headed by Vice President JD Vance, and an Iranian delegation to discuss peace terms, following a two-week ceasefire between the US and Iran on Tuesday.
