In a statement issued on Thursday, the company said the initiative is intended to help customers check on the safety of their relatives and loved ones in Lebanon.
“Out of our commitment to supporting our customers during the current situation in Lebanon, international calls will be made available free of charge for three days starting Friday,” the statement read.
Vodafone Egypt extended its wishes for safety and stability to the people of Lebanon.
The Israeli military has unleashed a new wave of strikes across Lebanon since Wednesday. The strikes have killed at least 254 people, including four soldiers, and wounded more than 1,100 Lebanese civilians in less than 24 hours.
Israel's recent strikes have sparked international outrage, jeopardizing an already fragile two-week US-Iran ceasefire.
