In a statement, the Public Prosecution said the service is now available through its official website and allows users to submit tracking requests after filing a report with the relevant police department.

To use the service, citizens must provide their phone’s data, including the international mobile equipment identity (IMEI) number.

The new system enables users to follow up on procedures online without the need to visit prosecution offices. It also allows authorities to take necessary legal measures once the device or its user is identified.

The initiative comes within the framework of ongoing efforts by the Public Prosecution to digitise judicial services, streamline procedures, and enhance the efficiency of law enforcement while safeguarding citizens’ rights.
