Minister Zaher held a video conference with students from the Military Academy for Postgraduate and Strategic Studies, the Command and Staff College, and specialized military institutes, as well as cadets from the Egyptian Military Academy and military colleges.

The meeting comes as the Armed Forces step up efforts to enhance military education and prepare new generations of officers capable of responding to evolving regional and international challenges, while reinforcing discipline, technological proficiency, and institutional cohesion.

Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa also attended the session along with senior commanders.

During the meeting, Zaher conveyed greetings from President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and congratulated attendees on the anniversary of Sinai Liberation Day.

He reviewed regional and international developments, highlighting the importance of continuously upgrading educational curricula within military institutions.

He urged students to continue learning and developing their mental, physical, and technical skills, stressing the need to leverage rapid technological advances across all fields to support military readiness.

Zaher also called on trainees to maintain self-discipline and awareness and exercise caution in their use of social media to avoid compromising military security.

He affirmed the close coordination between the Armed Forces and the civilian police as “the two wings” safeguarding national security and stability.

Separately, Zaher met with participants in the first cohort of imams holding doctoral degrees enrolled in a training programme at the Egyptian Military Academy, implemented in cooperation with Al-Azhar and the Ministry of Endowments. The programme is designed to prepare qualified cadres capable of contributing to national development across different sectors.

The commander-in-chief also discussed the programme with trainees to assess its impact, while participants expressed appreciation for the support provided to develop their leadership and intellectual skills.
