Lebanon’s National News Agency (NNA) said the victim was struck by a hostile drone in the town of Kounine in the Bint Jbeil district, the site of fierce battles between the Israeli occupation army and Hezbollah since 2 March.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that Tel Aviv agreed to a ceasefire with Lebanon at the request of US President Donald Trump to allow space for negotiations.
On Tuesday, Israeli and Lebanese officials held direct talks in Washington mediated by the US State Department.
“At President Trump’s request, we are giving an opportunity to advance a combined diplomatic and military solution with the Lebanese government,” Netanyahu said in a video statement from Jerusalem.
