The Egyptian international opened the scoring before defender Virgil van Dijk sealed victory with a late goal at Anfield.
Salah’s strike was his ninth against Everton in 14 appearances, along with three assists against Liverpool’s local rivals.
The tally matches the club record held by former captain Steven Gerrard for goals scored against Everton in the Premier League era.
Salah said last month he will leave Liverpool at the end of the season, ending a nine-year spell at the club.
“I wish to keep scoring and help the team at least achieve Champions League qualification this season, and hopefully say farewell in the right way,” Salah told the club’s official website.
With five matches remaining, the win kept Liverpool fifth in the standings, three points behind fourth-placed Aston Villa. The top four qualify automatically for the Champions League.
Van Dijk underlined Salah’s influence on and off the pitch.
“We appreciate him so much. He is very important for us, on and off the pitch,” the Dutch defender said.
“He will still be important for the last five games, and then it will be emotional for him and his family, for sure.
“But for us as well, because he has meant a lot to me, the team and the fans.”
