Saifuddin was accompanied by his sons—Ja’far El-Sadiq Imadduddin, Taha Najmuddin, and Husain Burhanuddin—as well as his representative in Cairo, Mufaddal Mohamed Hassan.
El-Sisi praised the Bohra community’s role in restoring mosques and shrines associated with Ahl al-Bayt, as well as other historic sites in Cairo, and said Egypt would continue supporting such efforts.
Saifuddin said the community plans to expand its restoration work and increase the number of Bohra visitors to Egypt, particularly for religious and cultural tourism.
The Bohra community has been involved in the rehabilitation of several historic mosques in recent years, part of a broader effort to preserve Islamic heritage sites in the country.
The talks also touched on regional developments, with El-Sisi reiterating Egypt’s commitment to regional de-escalation efforts, while Saifuddin praised Cairo’s role in regional diplomacy.
