Egypt, France launch strategic dialogue, discuss regional developments

Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty reviewed regional developments with Martin Bérard, Secretary-General of the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, in Cairo on Monday, on the occasion of the first round of the strategic dialogue between Egypt and France.
The meeting highlighted the depth of bilateral relations and the shared commitment to strengthening cooperation across various fields.
During the discussions, Abdelatty highlighted Egypt’s intensive efforts to support the negotiation track between the United States and Iran.
He stressed the importance of sustained diplomatic engagement and the need to reduce tensions across the Middle East.
Both sides underscored the importance of coordinated regional and international action to de-escalate ongoing crises and work toward ending conflicts in the region.
They also reaffirmed their commitment to further deepening Egyptian-French strategic relations and expanding cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
