Egypt FM discusses de-escalating regional conflict with Oman, Pakistan, Turkey counterparts

Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty held separate phone calls on Monday with his counterparts in Oman, Pakistan, and Turkey to discuss efforts to contain regional conflict in the Middle East, the Foreign Ministry said.

The discussions with Omani Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan focused on the evolving regional situation and coordinated efforts to manage rising instability.

The talks also reviewed the trajectory of the US–Iran negotiations, with all sides exchanging assessments on the diplomatic process.

Abdelatty stressed the importance of sustained coordination to ensure the success of the negotiations, reiterating that advancing diplomacy remains essential to securing a ceasefire, de-escalating tensions, and ending ongoing conflicts.

The ministers agreed that political dialogue and diplomatic solutions remain the only viable path to resolving regional crises and preventing further instability.
