IN THE NEXT few days the Egyptian Premier League will heat up dramatically, reports Alaa Abdel-Ghani. Currently, Zamalek hold the top spot with 46 points after playing one game in the so-called Big Seven shootout.
Pyramids have 44 points to lie in second. Defending champions Ahly also have 44 points but have played one game more than the two frontrunners. Zamalek are set to clash with Pyramids on 23 April. Pyramids are scheduled to face off against Ahly on Monday 27 April. The traditional derby rivalry pitting Zamalek and Ahly is set for 1 May.
