The match will kick off at 21:00 Cairo time and will be held at the New Administrative Capital Stadium, according to Egypt team director Ibrahim Hassan.

The fixture forms part of a broader preparation programme coordinated by the EFA, the national team’s technical staff led by head coach Hossam Hassan, and United Sports Company.

The Russian Football Federation had earlier announced the match on their Instagram account, describing Egypt as “one of the strongest national teams in Africa.”

Ibrahim Hassan said Egypt will travel to the United States on 30 May to continue their World Cup preparations, adding that a final friendly is scheduled against Brazil on 6 June in the US state of Ohio.

Egypt, drawn in Group G alongside Iran, New Zealand, and Belgium, played two friendlies in March against Saudi Arabia and Spain.

The 2026 World Cup will take place in the United States and Mexico from 11 June to 19 July.
