According to the Egyptian foreign ministry, Abdelatty’s discussions came during separate phone calls with Omani FM Badr Al Busaidi, Jordanian FM Ayman Safadi, British FM Yvette Cooper, and German FM Johann Wadephul.
During the calls, the ministers addressed ongoing efforts to reach a political settlement to the conflict, underscoring that diplomatic solutions remain the best option to support security and stability in the region and the world.
They stressed the need to adhere to the negotiation approach and continue efforts to reach an understanding among the concerned parties to consolidate a ceasefire, end the war, and reduce regional tensions.
During the calls, Abdelatty pointed to Cairo’s intensive efforts in this regard.
For their part, the Arab and European ministers praised Egypt’s constructive role, in coordination with regional and international partners, in de-escalating regional tensions.
Abdelatty’s calls come as part of Egypt’s ongoing efforts, with regional and international partners, to reach a peaceful settlement to the US-Israeli war against Iran.
