Egypt announce U-17 squad for 2026 Africa Cup of Nations

Egypt’s U-17 team coach Huessin Abdel-Latif announced on Sunday the final squad that will participate in the 2026 U-17 Africa Cup of Nations this month.

The continental tournament is due to kick off on 13 May in Morocco.

Egypt’s youth team were drawn in Group A alongside hosts Morocco, Tunisia, and Ethiopia.

According to a statement by the Egyptian Football Association (EFA), the 26-man squad includes Amir Abou Elezz, a forward who plays for Italian club Monza, and Amir Hassan, a centre-back with Dutch club Utrecht.

In their last preparatory game for the tournament, the Young Pharaohs were held to a 2-2 draw with Japan.

The full 26-man squad is as follows:
 

Goalkeepers: Malek Amr, Mohamed Ebied Atef, and Abdel-Aziz Mahmoud.

Defenders: Mohamed El-Sayed Mohamed, Adel Alaa, Adam Youssef, Abdallah Amr, Yassin Tamer, Amir Hassan, Amr Fouda, and Seif El-Mahdy.

Midfielders: Mohamed Nour, Seif Karim, Amr Abdel-Rahim, Baraa Mahmoud, Ahmed Safwat, Ahmed Bashir, Daniel Tamer, Mohamed Gamal, Ziad Seoudi, Yahia Riaad, and Youssef Othman.

Strikers: Abdel-Aziz Khaled, Khaled Moktar, Adham Hassib, and Amir Abu Elizz.
