The meeting, attended by Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, senior commanders, and leaders of the main service branches, is part of the General Command of the Armed Forces' regular engagements to maintain direct communication with personnel and reinforce cohesion across units.

Zaher conveyed the greetings of President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi, supreme commander of the armed forces, to troops in the Western Military Region, underscoring the leadership’s support for frontline units responsible for securing Egypt’s western strategic direction.

“The men of the Western Military Region renew their pledge to sacrifice everything to protect the nation,” Major General Hatem Mostafa Zahran, the region’s commander, said, thanking the armed forces’ leadership for what he described as “unlimited support.”

Zaher emphasized the importance of preparing highly qualified soldiers who can adapt to rapid technological developments across all specializations, while adopting modern training methods and maintaining resilience against psychological warfare to preserve morale and operational effectiveness.

He also highlighted coordination between military forces and tribal elders in Matrouh governorate to safeguard the western frontier, a key axis amid regional security challenges.

Following the meeting, Zaher inspected assembled troops from the Western Military Region to assess their combat readiness, reaffirming that the armed forces remain “an integral part of the people” and are committed to safeguarding Egypt’s security and stability.
