In a statement issued on Monday, the Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development said the humanitarian mission includes a senior medical delegation alongside a shipment of medical supplies.

The initiative reflects Egypt’s long-standing approach to supporting and developing healthcare systems across Africa by sharing advanced medical expertise and transferring specialised knowledge.

The effort aims to improve the quality of healthcare services and enhance the efficiency of national medical personnel, in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 3 on good health and well-being.

The delegation comprises a distinguished group of senior consultants and professors in urology, gastroenterology, nephrology, and cardiac surgery.

The team will provide integrated medical services, perform several specialised surgical procedures, and deliver training programmes and scientific activities designed to build local capacity and strengthen the skills of Tanzanian medical staff.

The agency stressed that the mission underscores Egypt’s commitment to promoting South-South cooperation and reinforcing African solidarity, rooted in a shared vision of collective progress and a commitment to advancing comprehensive and sustainable development across the continent.
