Egypt expresses solidarity with Bahrain, supports its measures to safeguard security

Egypt on Saturday expressed its full solidarity with the Kingdom of Bahrain and voiced support for all measures taken by Bahraini authorities to protect the country’s security, sovereignty, and internal stability.

In an official statement, the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed its backing for the security and legal steps implemented by Bahrain to safeguard its people and preserve national stability, stressing Cairo’s support for efforts aimed at maintaining order and protecting state institutions.

Egypt also reiterated its full solidarity with Bahrain and firmly rejected any attempts to undermine stability in the region, underlining its consistent position that the security of Bahrain and other Gulf states constitutes an integral part of Egypt’s national security.

Bahrain’s interior ministry said on Saturday that it had arrested 41 people with links to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), the state news agency reported.

The ministry said security authorities had uncovered a group with alleged ties to the IRGC, adding that investigations by the public prosecution also included cases involving suspected sympathy with Iranian attacks against Bahrain.
