In the industrial city of Mahala in the central Delta, protesters demand the release of those arrested during revolution 2nd anniversary demonstrations

Tens in Mahala city surrounded Saturday the office of Attorney General Nasser Hashish, demanding fellow demonstrators arrested Friday be released.

Eleven were detained in total in Mahala, according to Ahram Arabic news website.

The demonstrators plan to hold a sit-in in front of the Attorney General office complaining they do not know the whereabouts of those detained. Demonstrators say the detained have not been referred to prosecution.

On Friday, clashes erupted between protesters and security forces on the January 25 Revolution second anniversary. Demonstrations surrounded the governorate building protesting the rule of the Muslim Brotherhood, controlling both the legislative and executive authority, and calling for the revolution's "ignored" demands to be met.
