Young Pharaohs to be welcomed at Cairo airport Sunday

Egypt's under-20 national football team will receive a warm reception at Cairo airport after claiming African Championship in final against Ghana

Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi and Prime Minister Hisham Qandil have congratulated Egypt's U-20 (under-20) national football team on winning the African Championship in Algeria.

Under the direction of coach Rabie Yassin, the team claimed the Youth Cup after superb performances throughout the tournament. The Young Pharaohs took the final 5-4 to Ghana on penalties following a 1-1 draw after 90 minutes.

The Brotherhood's Freedom and Justice Party youth, along with others, have called on Egyptians to gather at Cairo airport to welcome the champions who will be playing in 2013 U-20 World Cup in Turkey in May.

The Young Pharaohs will play in Group E, alongside England, Chile and Iraq.
