President Mohamed Morsi on Monday received Egypt's U-20 football team and national table-tennis team at the presidential palace in Cairo.
The U-20 team won the Africa Youth Championship on Saturday, qualifying for the upcoming FIFA U-20 World Cup set to take place in Turkey this summer; Egypt's national table-tennis team, meanwhile, recently clinched the bronze in the World Championship in China.
It was the first time for President Morsi to receive an athletic delegation since he assumed the presidency last summer.
According to Ahram Sports, President Morsi expressed his delight with the two teams' achievements, stressing his readiness to support Egyptian athletics in hopes of future successes.
