Egypt's national team will host Rwanda in a friendly game in June before playing two World Cup qualifiers against Zimbabwe and Mozambique, the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) said on Wednesday.
"The EFA board has accepted a [request] from the national team to play a friendly against Rwanda on 4 June in Cairo," the EFA said in a statement.
The Pharaohs, who are bidding to reach the World Cup for the first time since 1990, have made a perfect start to their qualifying campaign, collecting maximum nine points from three games.
They are five points ahead of Guinea and seven clear of third-placed Mozambique with three matches remaining. Egypt next face Zimbabwe and Mozambique in two away games on 9 and 16 June respectively.
