The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) have accepted the request of six big club not to participate in Egypt Cup tournament.
The six clubs; Ahly, Haras El-Hodoud, Ittihad El-Shorta, Bani Swaif Telephones, Arab Contractors and El-Dakhleya, have withdrawn from the second most powerful tournament in Egypt due to sponsoring conditions.
The EFA said that there will be no penalties against these clubs, according to the association's regulations.
Ahly have a record of 35 cup trophies, and archrivals Zamale, 21. Haras El-Hodoud won in 2009 and 2010 while ENPPI snatched the last edition in 2011.
