Fashion hasn't died in Cairo. As a matter of fact, it seems to be an outlet for some, like Sama Eissa who although she has her degree in Political Science and worked for the UN, has a passion for fashion.
Eissa, who is pursuing her fashion certification, tells Ahram Online that this satin collection was inspired by Balenciaga.
"Balenciaga, pays a lot of attention to proportion of the body. Especially the waistline, exentuating the female figure to give a very feminine look."
Satin is a classic vintage and set apart any dress. It is also one of the most complex fabrics, she says. Eissa did go with a couple of different fabrics, as well and will launch a surprise formal dress version.
At her launch at Lalloushi Boutique in front of the Hilton Hotel in Zamalek on Saturday, 20 April, she will have juicers on hand, serve high tea, nibbles - and all to good music.
