Egypt's ousted former president Hosni Mubarak has reportedly suffered from a sudden upsurge in blood sugar levels during a court review of an appeal filed by him for release pending trial, reports Al-Ahram Arabic news website.
Paramedics rushed into the room, where the appeal was discussed, and provided Mubarak medical attention.
The judge allowed Gamal, Mubarak's younger son held in prison with him, to enter the room in attempts to calm Mubarak, according to the same source.
Mubarak is currently held in Tora Prison hospital in southern Cairo pending his trial on corruption charges.
